Independent's Surf Issue Article Santa Barbara Surf Girls got mentioned in the Santa Barbara Independent's Surf Issue! |
The Santa Barbara Surf Girls documentary is currently in production. The documentary is centered on a core group of characters within an all female beginner surfer group. It follows the group from the initial stages of surfing to becoming advanced surfers. In the process friendships are formed and the women experience empowerment in all areas of their lives as a result of taking on this challenging sport. The documentary is a collaboration between two local production companies: Pixley Flix Productions and Rincon Productions. Surfer Divas is the result of this awesome connection. We are very excited about the support we have already received from our first software sponsor, SmartSound. We are in discussion with several other sponsors, and as the project progresses there will be many opportunities for both product placement within the video, and for clever online advertisements on our Internet distribution channel and social networking site. We are currently looking for more crew, equipment, sponsorship and distribution opportunities to bring this production up to the next level. If you would like to get involved, please contact us . If you are a female surfer and you would like a place to connect with other surfer girls, check out our social networking site Surfer Divas If you are in the Santa Barbara area and you would like more information about joining the Santa Barbara Surf Girls group, please check out the website at SBSurfGrls.com UpdatesOur major Sponsor PABLOSURF is donating $5 from the purchase of La Sirena and Surfista T-shirts to the documentary.
